This introductory class covers the fundamentals of keeping bees in your backyard, including what equipment is needed (and where to get it), hive setup, and what to expect in your first season. This class is perfect for beginners, hobbyists, and families and features some delicious honey tasting from local apiaries, and a breakdown of how honey gets its unique flavors.
About your instructor:
Trevor is the owner of Coop & Hive, a Foresthill-based farm and apiary, a father of three, and a career firefighter/paramedic. With over 10 years of beekeeping experience, he is passionate about helping others get started and building confidence in backyard beekeeping.
